August is so busy!!!

School started back at the first of the month. But with school starts full swing soccer and football! So we are off....Soccer is going great except all the injury's!!! one of the boys from the team broke his arm in the 1st 10 min. of the first game. Another player a young lady has a dislocated hip not that playing soccer stopped her! (She is tough!) Anyway they are playing awesome and they keep getting better! Next year he will be playing for the High School, I can not imagine having a freshman, a middle schooler and a pre schooler in the house!!! AUGH! Well speaking of middle schooler Joshua is playing some awesome football. They play there first game next weekend but so far they have won the blue and white game and the jamboree! Lets go Blue. Now as for Emi well she is growing like a week. She has been spending the summer with a friend but next month will begin a pre-school/day care. I am excited about that because she is such a sponge! Hopefully there will be some really great kids in her class because with this sponge come a good copy cat! She can copy the best of you, I love to play with her she would twist into a pretzel if she could!!!

Anyway here are some photos of Emi playing with some beads, dressing up as a monster and cheering on her brother! Love and BLessings.....

Busy, Busy, Busy

OK so it has been forever since I have been able to update this website. We have been working on computer issues and trying to remember passwords!!! I think that I am almost back up and running. Now for some really big updates!
April and May have been really big months. We have celebrated a couple of birthdays, and anniversaries! Both Emi and Sloan had big birthdays and then there was the one year anniversary for our RA April 4th, and out TA on April 18th....then the leaving for China anniversary May 22nd 2008, the last day of school this year May 23rd, the big soccer tournament in Cincinnati, OH and one of my favorites GOTCHA DAY ANNIVERSARY May 26th!!!!!! Give us a reason to celebrate right, we have had cakes and parties and even a carnival date just to celebrate this most awesome time!

Referral Photo and together in China

Yes, I know it has been an amazing fast year but Emi has been home now for one year. We have finished our paperwork and home studies and received our note from America World saying our file is now closed!!! We even finalized our RE- Adoption and have Emi her very own birth certificate! God has blessed us so much this year. I will be adding some photos to try and capture the amount of pure joy we have been blessed with but I will be honest it will be hard to do. For those of you who are thinking you may want to adopt there is no way to say how much of a blessing it really is!!! GO FOR IT!!!!!

Funny Friday!

I so enjoy reading others blogs and hearing about the journey they are going through. Some are struggles before they get there children and some are struggles after. All I can say is as you watch these journeys the fingerprints of God are ALWAYS there. God has a plan for all of us and what a joy is is to take that step of faith and let God lead the way.

We are getting close to our one year mark with Emi. I am shocked at how fast this year has really gone by. This time last year it was so hard to think straight I was just ready to leave. Now we are praying as other families get ready to take there leap of faith, some starting with paperwork, some leaving to bring home their children and others starting the new life with their children. Blessings to you all!!!!

You know you are an adoptive parent if... (This is their's and it is great)

1. The fact that there are 143 million children without a parent to kiss them goodnight makes you loose sleep.

2. The fact that if 7% of Christians adopted, there would be no more orphans in the world is convicting to you

3. You have ever been "pregnant" with you adoptive child longer than it takes an elephant to give birth (2 years).

4. You had no idea how you would afford to adopt but stepped out in faith anyway, knowing where God calls you He will provide.

5. You believe God's heart is for adoption.

6. You realize that welcoming a child into your heart and family is one of the most important legacies you could ever leave on this earth.

7. You know what the word "Dossier" means, and you can actually pronounce it!

8. You have welcomed a social worker into the most private parts of your life.

9. You shudder when people say your child is so lucky that you adopted them, knowing full well you are the blessed one to have him or her in your life.

Happy 13th Birthday Sloan

Well today my little boy turns 13! Happy birthday Sloan!!!!
We love you!

Happy Easter!

What a blessed Easter! We had a blast we had a batch of storms come in on Good Friday but Easter Sunday was so beautiful! I am not sure if Emi liked the candy or egg coloring the best. I am leaning toward the eating candy! We had a blast at dinner she was so full of energy and talked up a storm. We are not real sure about everything she talked about but it was fun listening to her!
